Excerpts from the matrix, manufactures, markets and supplies of salt (NaCl) in Egypt, especially in Al-Arish and Shiva million tons of salt are exported annually. Most salt is manufactured for use in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. About 10 percent of our annual output is designated to thaw.
Here in Egypt, we extract the salt in two different places: Siwa and Arish. Sal extracted Egypt somewhere near Siwa and Arish. The underground salt is dissolved in water, and the resulting purified brine and evaporated in factories close to salt. The salt released during this process is extremely thin and pure.
Road salt
The Parent Company and other companies jointly produce salt plant about 6 million tons of salt a year. Most of this salt was supplied to the chlorine industry, with a significant percentage used in consumer applications. The part used as road salt is exported to Europe, America, Australia and Canada.
